Regular Internal Exchange

  1. Interval Servicing Company, LLC operates an Internal Exchange Program (“The Program”), where qualified members are able to choose one of the following services: a) Regular Internal Exchange (“Internal Exchange”). This service allows members to enroll their units into a pool, and based on availability confirm an exchange and use other member’s units. b) Open Stay Exchange (“Open Stay”). This program allows members to deposit their units and obtain in return an Occupancy Certificate (“The Certificate”) that would grant them the right for up to two years to redeem and occupy a unit of equal or lower sleeping capacity to the one enrolled, based on The Program’s available inventory.
  2. Only units submitted by affiliated resort members in good standing can participate in “The Program”. Confirmed exchanges are based on units with the same sleeping capacity; however, you have the option to request a lower sleeping capacity.
  3. Units lend by the owner, or enrolled in any rental, resale or external exchange program are not allowed to participate in the “The Program”.
  4. “The Program” is fully automated through a propriety computer system on a first come first serve basis. In some cases exchanges requested during holidays and other high seasonal periods will be more difficult to confirm.
  5. Unit location is not a priority; a beachfront unit may be confirmed into an off-beach unit. Unit assignment is not guaranteed.
  6. For the “Internal Exchange”, exchange requests may be submitted with a minimum of 31 days prior to the interval/week requested or the interval/week owned, whichever occurs first. For the “Open Stay” said minimum deposit period is 60 days prior to the interval/week owned. For both services the maximum deposit period is 24 months from the date the request is submitted. Interval Servicing will acknowledge receipt of the exchange request via e-mail. For the “Internal Exchange”, thirty (30) days prior to the interval/week date requested or the interval/week owned, whichever occurs first, all pending unconfirmed requests will be cancelled and the unit submitted will be returned to the member.
  7. 7. Once the exchange is confirmed, a non-refundable fee will be charged. For exchanges requested via the website (www.exchangemyvacation.com) the fee is $149 US Dollars. For exchanges requested via fax or mail, the exchange fee is $179.00.
  8. For the “Internal Exchange” and the “Open Stay”, once an exchange has been confirmed the trade is FINAL. For the “Internal Exchange”, you may cancel an exchange request only prior to a confirmed exchange. For the “Open Stay”, once “The Certificate” has been issued, the trade becomes final. A confirmed exchange cannot be cancelled as subsequent confirmed exchanges would be affected.
  9. Confirmed exchanges may not be rented or externally exchanged.
  10. Under the “Internal Exchange”, should the confirmed exchange become inconvenient, a new exchange (re-trade) request may be submitted with an additional exchange fee (applicable fee applies) using the confirmed exchange as the offered unit. Under the “Open Stay”, should the exchange become inconvenient, the exchange will be canceled and the certificate will be reinstated. A new exchange may be submitted with an additional exchange fee.
  11. If you are confirmed for an exchange and have not been billed for your club service fee/maintenance fee; you will be contacted by an Interval Servicing Repr esentative to assist you in collecting the fee. Once paid, this will finalize your exchange confirmation.

Open Stay Exchange

What is the difference between the traditional Internal Exchange and the Open Stay Exchange?
In the traditional Internal Exchange, you enroll your unit and upon confirmation of a match, you will receive another unit within the preferences outlined in the enrollment process. In the Open Stay Exchange, you will enroll your unit in order to receive a certificate, valid for two years, to be used in a future exchange, within the inventory available in the Internal Exchange program.

What is the procedure to follow for an Open Stay Exchange?
Follow these steps.

  • Log into the member portal IntervalServicing.com and select Internal Exchanges in the main menu,
    or log into the Internal Exchange portal exchangemyvacation.com
  • Go to ENROLL YOUR UNIT tab
  • Select Open Stay Exchange option
  • Select the unit/week from which you would like to enroll

An Open Stay Certificate is generated with an expiration date of 2 years from the deposit date.

What is the deposit window for an Open Stay Exchange?
Minimum deposit period is 60 days prior to the interval/week owned and a maximum deposit period is 24 months from the first occupancy day of the unit deposited. .

How do I redeem an Open Stay Exchange certificate?
Follow these steps.

  • Log into the member portal IntervalServicing.com and select Internal Exchanges in the main menu,
    or log into the Internal Exchange portal exchangemyvacation.com
  • Go to REDEEM CERTIFICATES tab
  • Click “Redeem Certificate” in your ACTIVE CERTIFICATE from the list of contracts deposited
  • Search your desired options for travel and click on Search availability
  • Click on BOOK NOW and enter your credit card information

Can I cancel my Open Stay Exchange Deposit if this has not been redeemed?
No. Once the Certificate has been issued, the trade becomes final.

What does the “Season Type” reference mean in my Open Stay Exchange certificate information?
It means that you have access to redeem your certificate with inventory of equal or less seasonal value.

What are the “Season Types” defined in the program and what are its valid dates?
The season types are:

  • Low Season
  • Medium Season
  • High Season
  • Premium Season

A calendar with weeks and Resorts that you have access according to the season in your certificate will be available when you review your certificate.


Special Exchange

Interval Servicing Company, LLC operates the Special Exchange Program (“The Program”), where qualified members are able to choose one of the units that Royal Resorts has made available to them for their use.

  • Qualified members are those:
    1. Whose unit falls in one of the weeks authorized by Royal Resorts to participate in this program.
    2. Members who are current on all financial obligations towards the resort.
    3. Members who have not made an alternate use of the unit enrolled in this program.
  • “The Program” is fully automated through a propriety computer system on a first come first serve basis. In some cases e Exchanges requested during holidays and other high seasonal periods will be more difficult to confirm.
  • Unit location is not a priority; a beachfront unit may be confirmed into a unit with different location. Unit assignment is not guaranteed.
  • Once the exchange is confirmed, a non-refundable fee of $ 89.50 will be charged.
  • Once an exchange has been confirmed the trade is FINAL.
  • Confirmed exchanges may not be rented or externally exchanged.
  • Changes to confirmed exchanges could occur under two circumstances:
    1. The interval where the confirmed special exchange is located, becomes part of the blocked inventory for occupancy, as declared by Royal Resorts. In this case, the member will be allowed to deposit the confirmed unit and select another one, from the inventory made available by Royal Resorts. These new exchanges will have no cost for the member;
    2. Should the confirmed exchange become inconvenient for the member, a new exchange (re-trade) request may be submitted to the Regular Internal Exchange or the Open Stay Programs. Rules and fees for these programs will apply.
  • Choosing a unit with lower occupancy capacity (e.g. “B” Villa, Suite or Room) will not grant the member the right for an additional exchange.
  • Please Take The Exchange Confirmation Paperwork To The Resort As This Will Expedite The Check-In.


Special Exchange 2021

What is the benefit of using the Special Exchange 2021?
This program allows members with weeks authorized by Royal Resorts to deposit their units with at least 14 days in advance of their interval/week and obtain in return an Occupancy Certificate ("The Certificate") that would grant them the right to redeem and occupy a unit that the Royal Resorts has made available of equal or lower sleeping capacity to the one enrolled. The Special Exchange 2021 Certificate is generated with an expiration date of 18 months from the deposit date.


What is the procedure to obtain a Certificate under Special Exchange 2021?
Log into the member portal www.IntervalServicing.com and select Internal Exchanges in the main menu, or log into the Internal Exchange portal www.ExchangeMyVacation.com

  • Select the unit/week from which you would like to enroll

It is possible that a higher exchange fee will be applied in a selected interval / week because the inventory originates in another program which requires the fee according to the agreement with The Program.


Can I cancel the reservation obtained after redeeming the Special Exchange 2021 Certificate?
Once an exchange has been confirmed the trade is FINAL.


What option(s) I have if unable to travel under the reservation obtained using the Certificate?
If the confirmed travel exchange dates become inconvenience you have the following options:

  • A new exchange (re-trade) request may be submitted to the Special Exchange 2021 contacting Membership Services. Program rules and current re-trade fees for this program will apply.
  • You are able to lend the reservation to family or friends by processing an Owner Loan. You must contact Membership Services in order to request form.


Could I place the unit obtained under this exchange with rental programs or for exchange using outside programs?
Confirmed exchanges may not be rented or externally exchanged.


Can I participate in the program if my finances are not up to date with the unit?
Members who are not current on all financial obligations towards the resort are unable to participate in the program.

  • Qualified members are those:
    1. Whose unit falls in one of the weeks authorized by Royal Resorts to participate in this program.
    2. Members who are current on all financial obligations towards the resort.
    3. Members who have not made an alternate use of the unit enrolled in this program.
  • "Special Exchange 2021". This program allows members to deposit their units and obtain in return an Occupancy Certificate ("The Certificate") that would grant them the right for up to redeem and occupy a unit of equal or lower sleeping capacity to the one enrolled, based on The Program's available inventory. The member must deposit their units with a minimum 14 days in advance and will be able to redeem for intervals and resorts based on the program rules set under Royal Resorts.
  • The Special Exchange 2021 Certificate is generated with an expiration date of 18 months from the deposit date. In some cases Exchanges requested during holidays and other high seasonal periods will be more difficult to confirm. The program traveling blackout dates in 2021 and 2022 applies to the following weeks 14, 15, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 51 & 52.
  • Unit location is not a priority; a beachfront unit may be confirmed into a unit with different location. Unit assignment is not guaranteed.
  • Once the exchange is confirmed, a non-refundable fee of $ 89.50 will be charged. It is possible that a higher exchange rate will be applied in a selected interval / week because the inventory originates in another program which requires the fee according to the agreement with The Program.
  • Once an exchange has been confirmed the trade is FINAL.
  • Confirmed exchanges may not be rented or externally exchanged.
