What is the procedure to follow for an Internal Exchange?
Follow these steps.

  • Log into the member portal My.IntervalServicing.com and select Internal Exchanges in the main menu,
    or log into the Internal Exchange portal exchangemyvacation.com
  • Select the unit/week from which you would like to exchange
  • Enter resorts and dates you would like to exchange into

The exchange process is performed daily. If a match for you is found, we will notify you by both email and mail.

How do I modify my exchange options?
If your exchange request is not confirmed, you can make changes as follows.

  • Click here to access the Status Update on the Internal Exchange portal
  • Once retrieved and available to do so, you may make changes to your options

Can I exchange my unit for a unit outside of México?
Yes, based on availability. The Internal Exchange program includes select resorts located in México, St Maarten and Curaçao. Click here for more information.

Can I request an exchange for one next year?
Yes. Exchange requests must be submitted a minimum of 30 days prior to the interval requested or the interval owned, whichever occurs first and no more than 24 months from the date the request is submitted.

Can I exchange my unit for another at the same resort for a week prior to the week I own?
Yes. Provided the date needed is not less than 30 days from the date the request is submitted. If it is, please contact Membership Services for additional assistance.

Can I still bank my week with Interval International if my Internal Exchange was confirmed?
No. If your Internal Exchange was confirmed, it means that another member within the program will use your unit and in consequence, you cannot make any use of it . (e.g. External Exchange, Rental, owner loan, etc.).

How long does it take to complete an Internal Exchange?
Searches for a match are performed daily. However, there is no guarantee of finding a match and that is why it is not possible to predict how long an exchange may take to be completed.

Why was my Internal Exchange request cancelled?
Requests are cancelled 30 days prior to the interval/week requested or the interval/week owned, whichever occurred first, when there was no match found.

I have an Internal Exchange confirmed but I want to cancel it. How do I do that?
A confirmed Internal Exchange cannot be canceled. You may have an opportunity to re-exchange. Contact Membership Services for assistance.

If I am enrolling a beachfront unit, will I receive a beachfront unit in exchange?
No. The only guarantee with an exchange is the resort, sleeping capacity and the occupancy dates.


Open Stay Exchange

What is the difference between the traditional Internal Exchange and the Open Stay Exchange?
In the traditional Internal Exchange, you enroll your unit and upon confirmation of a match, you will receive another unit within the preferences outlined in the enrollment process. In the Open Stay Exchange, you will enroll your unit in order to receive a certificate, valid for two years, to be used in a future exchange, within the inventory available in the Internal Exchange program.

What is the procedure to follow for an Open Stay Exchange?
Follow these steps.

  • Log into the member portal My.IntervalServicing.com and select Internal Exchanges in the main menu,
    or log into the Internal Exchange portal exchangemyvacation.com
  • Go to ENROLL YOUR UNIT tab
  • Select Open Stay Exchange option
  • Select the unit/week from which you would like to enroll

An Open Stay Certificate is generated with an expiration date of 2 years from the deposit date.

What is the deposit window for an Open Stay Exchange?
Minimum deposit period is 60 days prior to the interval/week owned and a maximum deposit period is 24 months from the first occupancy day of the unit deposited. .

How do I redeem an Open Stay Exchange certificate?
Follow these steps.

  • Log into the member portal My.IntervalServicing.com and select Internal Exchanges in the main menu,
    or log into the Internal Exchange portal exchangemyvacation.com
  • Go to STATUS UPDATE tab
  • Click “Redeem Certificate” in your ACTIVE CERTIFICATE from the list of contracts deposited
  • Search your desired options for travel and click on Search availability
  • Click on BOOK NOW and enter your credit card information

Can I cancel my Open Stay Exchange Deposit if this has not been redeemed?
No. Once the Certificate has been issued, the trade becomes final.

What does the “Season Type” reference mean in my Open Stay Exchange certificate information?
It means that you have access to redeem your certificate with inventory of equal or less seasonal value.

What are the “Season Types” defined in the program and what are its valid dates?
The season types are:

  • Low Season
  • Medium Season
  • High Season
  • Premium Season

A calendar with weeks and Resorts that you have access according to the season in your certificate will be available when you review your certificate.
